文化博物館 キングボート（王船）は、台湾・東港に位置する王船祭を主題とした文化博物館である。5階建ての建物は、海を想起させる波形の基壇の上に白いファサードを載せている。ファサードにはガラス繊維強化コンクリートを採用し、その質感と塩害・湿気への耐性を評価して選定した。折り紙のような線と後退したエントランスが、エキスパンドアルミメッシュで包まれた中央アトリウムへと導き、光と音を程よく濾過する。実物大の王船のレプリカが自然光のもとに展示され、屋上デッキからは港の眺望が広がる。
